Inspired By Vered

Every once in a while I cross paths with women who inspire and motivate me as well as reassure me that the world is just a wonderful place!

Recently, it happened again.

Her name is Vered Haiun from Montreal, Canada

 and she is a woman unlike any woman I have met, EVER.

Vered and I crossed paths at the Ultimate Girls Getaway last weekend. We were both there to present in our areas of expertise. Vered was there to lead this group of women through Zumba classes.. Zumba, you know, latin – dance type fitness classes?  No big deal. HA! Little did I know!

It all started at the Opening Reception when she had 100 women shimmying and singing, dancing and moving in the most unconventional way I have ever seen. It was Sexy and Feminine and I could do it!

Then I heard her speak…            

“Your Body is Beautiful – LOVE IT”

“Your legs carry you, LOVE THEM!”

“Breathe.. feel your lungs filling.. LOVE YOUR LUNGS!”

This woman LIVES & BREATHES exactly what Big Beautiful Wellness is all about. I had to get to her class to see if her classes held the same exhuberance and passion as her words.

When I was finally able to attend her ZUMBA class, I approached it with trepidation. I have a long history of disappointing gym teachers, fitness instructors, personal trainers and have long ago decided that the best workouts for me are ALONE. Since Kindergarten, my experience in organized classes has been negative. EVERY SINGLE ONE.

Until now.

Watching Vered move her body, the absolute joy she has in movement, her freedom in her physical expression – gave me permission to just release my own inhibitions and start to actually ‘let go’. I did it at my own speed, in my own ‘unique’ way, and when I looked at Vered I just wanted to do more!!

The class ended WAY before I was ready to stop. I wanted to do more, feel more, express more! I have cried in classes before over the years, but never tears of pure joy. And I need to be clear, the little tears I shed in my Zumba class weren’t tears for me, they were tears for a woman who is ALIVE and JOYFUL. Vered is One Beautiful Woman who is taking her gift and inspiring other women, every single day.

 Vered teaches classes all over Montreal.. check out her website and take a class. But, I have to warn you, she will having you to seeing your body in a way that you may never have before, and you will be grateful.
